Sustainability at Pretty Bangin Balloons

At Pretty Bangin Balloons, we believe you can throw a bloody good party without trashing the planet.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact while still delivering the kind of installations that make people say “holy sht”* when they walk in. Sustainability is not an afterthought for us. It is built into how we source, create, and clean up.

Our Balloons: What They Are Made Of
(and Why It Matters)

Not all balloons are created equal.

Our latex balloons are made from Natural Rubber Latex (NRL), a material sourced from rubber trees that are tapped sustainably without harming the tree.

Because it is a natural material:

  • It does not contain plastic

  • It can break down over time under the right conditions

  • It is a significantly better alternative to synthetic or plastic-based balloons

We only work with suppliers who are actively improving sustainability practices because “good enough” is not good enough.​​

Less Plastic, More Thoughtful Design

We actively design our installs to reduce waste:

  • No plastic clips or unnecessary plastic components

  • Balloon weights and ties designed with biodegradability in mind

  • Minimal use of synthetic materials wherever possible

It is all about making smarter choices before your event even begins.

No Balloon Releases. Ever.

We do not support or facilitate balloon releases.

Instead, we encourage creative alternatives that do not harm wildlife or ecosystems, like bubbles, florals, or other visual moments that still hit emotionally without the environmental impact.

Beautiful does not need to be harmful.

Recycling & Responsible Disposal

The party does not end when the balloons come down.

We:

  • Encourage clients to “Pin it. Pop it. Bin it.”

  • Offer options to return used balloons for proper recycling

  • Work with specialised recycling programs that transform balloon waste into new materials like flooring and industrial products

Because what happens after the event matters just as much as what happens during it.

Smarter Use of Helium

Helium is a finite resource, so we treat it that way.

We use helium that is:

  • A by-product of industrial processes rather than newly extracted just for balloons

  • Recovered and reused to reduce overall waste

We also promote safe and responsible use because sustainability includes people too.
